– Ujjayanta Palace, located on the banks of two lakes, surrounded by gardens is situated in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. It was once the seat of the Kingdom of Tripura, the ruling Manikya dynasty. It then became the state legislative assembly and is now a state museum.
– The name Ujjayanta Palace was given by the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The landmark is locally popular as Raja Bari or Raja Badi which means home of the king.
